The world of politics is often influenced by celebrities. A celebrity endorsement towards a certain political party has the potential to sway voters to vote for that particular party. Some celebrities have been firm supporters of a certain political party for years, while other celebrities have switched between parties over the years. Just like everybody else, famous people are allowed to change their minds and change course for whatever reason. Here are some of the most well known political party switchers.
Hilary Clinton
One of the most recognizable faces amongst Democrats is Hilary Clinton. Hilary Clinton represented the Democratic party in the 2016 presidential election, but Hilary wasn’t always a Democrat. In 1964, she campaigned for the Arizona Republican. At Wesley College, she was the president of the Young Republicans Club at the school. Hilary changed her political standpoint in the early 70s due to issues she couldn’t agree with, such as the Vietnam war. Hilary has been a proud Democrat ever since.
