Toilet-Shaped House
The late Sum Jae Duck was the chairman of the World Toilet Association and former mayor of Suwon Town in South Korea. Jae Duck was regretfully born in his grandmother’s bathroom and used the unfortunate event to inspire his lifetime campaigns for water conservation, healthy ablutions, and improving worldwide access to working sanitation. In 2007, he spent $1.1 million rebuilding his house to resemble a toilet that featured a bathroom at the center and is equipped with rain harvesting technology.
