Before Polish philanthropist and businessman Daniel Czapieski finished the construction of the upside-down house in 2007, the tiny village of Szymbark rarely witnessed tourists in the area. Nevertheless, with the house now open to the public, the area is frequented by tourists who can’t get enough of the impressive architecture. According to Daniel, the house took five times longer than initially anticipated since the workers could sometimes become a little disoriented when working on certain parts of the house.
