The steel house was constructed by architectural sculptor Robert Bruno using 110 tons of steel and a 24-year construction period. Bruno was unimpressed by the flat landscape in most Texas parts and decided to venture into the Ransom Canyon’s slopes, searching for some inspiration. The house looks like a giant pig from afar, but the house’s initial thought was a one-story, three-bedroomed house. Over the years, his artistic mind inspired the four-legged look and the addition of two more stories.
