Sam Moore does not want more of his songs played at Democrat events. In 2008, Moore requested that the song “Hold On, I’m Comin” be removed from Barack Obama rallies. Moore reached out to Obama in a letter. He wrote, “It is thrilling…to see that our country has matured to the place where it is no longer an impossibility for a man of color to really be considered as a legitimate candidate for the highest office in our land.” He also went on to clarify that he does not want to endorse Barack Obama.
