The Dzo is originally from the cold climates in Mongolia and Tibet. This gentle beast is a crossbreed between the domestic cow and wild Yak. The Dzo is preferred to both the cow and the yak because it’s bigger, stronger, and produces more milk and meat. Furthermore, the dzo is usually very docile and extremely capable of handling the rough Himalayan terrain. Although the male dzo is usually sterile, the female species is very fertile and is known to produce healthy offspring.
