The remaining Monodontidae species, Narwhals, and Beluga whales, are similar in most characteristics, so it would make sense if the two animals were to produce offspring. Back in 2019, DNA tests on a giant skull found in West Greenland was confirmed as a Narluga, the cross between a male beluga and a female narwhal. Although Narlugas are extremely rare, they can be found in the wild, and it’s not uncommon to find beluga whales adopting lost narwhals out in the wild.
