When announcing her new album release, the singer complained about how fellow artists don’t receive the same treatment as her, yet they practice almost similar art forms. Her essay-like post was condemned as an attack against Colored artists since the tagged names: Beyonce, Cardi B, Ariana Grande, etc., were all Colored. The singer denied all the racist accusations, but the hashtag #landelreycist trended for most of 2019.
