However, all that almost went down the drain in 2006 when he went on an anti-Semitic tirade during his dramatic arrest in Malibu, Carlifonia. The Australian-born actor was arrested for drunk driving and allegedly blamed the Jews for instigating wars worldwide. The actor later apologized but became a Hollywood outcast for almost a decade before 2016’s Hacksaw Ridge pushed him back to the limelight.
