Architects go to extreme lengths to come up with skyscrapers with exquisite designs and breathtaking appearances. Nevertheless, these plans can sometimes go a little overboard. In 2014, London’s skyscraper made headlines when its bright windows allegedly melted parts of a car parked in the adjacent street. The designers apparently didn’t consider the sun’s rays and the impact the south-facing windows had on the building’s neighbors. The owners had to spend an undisclosed amount to install a giant sunshade to protect more cars from melting.
