14. Monkey Bridge in Vietnam
The Monkey Bridge is one of similarly made bridges around Vietnem’s Mokong Delta area, and while not particularly frightening, its material and the way it is constructed would certainly give you pause. What’s scary is that the Monkey Bridge is constructed with only a long single piece of bamboo log, with a thin and lopsided bamboo railing on one side to serve as guide! The bamboo bridge sits just above the Mokong Delta’s muddy river, which is actually the scary part if you think about it! Imagine flailing around while crossing the log then actually falling into the muddy river, which is so muddy you don’t even know what it’s hiding in its depths!
