In 2016, the band’s song was played on the Republican National Convention’s floor. Earth, Wind & Fire claims that their smash hit was played without their consent. The band sent out a tweet from their verified Twitter account saying, “Another unauthorized use (September) at the Republican Convention, against our wishes.”
