Choosing a playlist for a political campaign seems to come with a lot of roadblocks for John McCain. His 2008 campaign playlist was shortened when Foo Fighters removed their song from the line-up. The band discovered that their song “My Hero” was being played at McCain political rallies. In a statement, the band said this about their song being played, “To have it appropriated without our knowledge and used in a manner that perverts the original sentiment of the lyric just tarnishes the song.”
