As earlier mentioned, these gentle-looking giants will eat anything with meat, and that includes humans. Weighing an average of 1000 pounds, the Polar bear spends months out in the freezing sea hunting seals. Their furry-white coats might portray a docile creature, but the Polar bear is far from docile. The cold Arctic temperatures mean that prey can sometimes be a little hard to find, but the Polar bear is always up to the task when opportunities arise. They rarely attack humans, mainly because human populations are rare in the Arctic circle.
