The High Five Interchange
The High Five Interchange in Dallas, Texas, is another great example of how Texans can go big. In 2002, the Texas government noticed increased traffic congestion at the Lyndon B. Johnson Freeway and the Central Expressway junction. Interestingly, the interchange already had an impressive three-level freeway interchange. It took three years and $261 million to develop this magnificent engineering piece that boasts the same height as a 12-story building. If you ever plan on taking a trip down the Central Expressway, please take a seasoned Texan with you.
