It all started when Chris missed a Joe Biden fundraiser in which all of his Avengers co-stars graced. His absence led fans to believe that he might be a pro-Trump supporter. Twitter users then started a poll that compared The Guardians of the Galaxy star against all the other celebrities named Chris and labeled him an anti-LGBTQ activist. Fortunately, his MCU co-stars have had his back the entire time.
